The online community thrives on communication and Discord is a popular platform for both minors and adults to connect. Discord serves a dual function by allowing users to interact one on one and also as a community with access to various safety tools such as content filtering, server member blocking, and private group options.

However, when it comes to image security, there is a potential concern. While the majority of your account is safe from outsiders, images shared in chat can be easily accessed by anyone outside of Discord simply by using the image URL. It is advisable to test this for yourself using an incognito browser or VPN and sending the image to your friends for confirmation. It's worth considering whether Discord is the appropriate platform for sensitive information and re-evaluating your use of it beyond community building.

It's important to note that this issue isn't unique to Discord, and anything posted online stays online indefinitely.
