There is a tool in Windows that allows you to figure out why your computer crashed and help you diagnose a load of issues. But it is important to note that your mileage may vary and while useful, it may not be possible to fix the issue.

To access the Event Viewer easily, use the Windows Search Tool and look up the event viewer. Under Event Viewer (Local) head over to custom views then Administrative Events.

You have three kinds of levels for issues, Warning, Error and Critical. A Blue screen of Death will be a critical error. Look at the source and Event ID of the issue. From there you will be able to determine what the issue is.

Once you have found the error, head over to the support site for Microsoft available at https://support.microsoft.com, and then you will get some information related to the error. If you choose to use Google or any other search engines, please remember that applications that can supposedly check drivers do not necessarily do a great job, and you will be better served by using Windows Update and visiting your mainboard website. For drivers of other hardware please visit their manufacture's website.
